Shelley Greenwald

Shelley is a Change Management expert specializing in culture change, leadership development, and coaching. Her focus is on bringing humanity to the corporate world. She was immediately drawn in by The Waterbearer’s powerful mission.

Born and raised in South Africa, Shelley lived in Australia and Hong Kong before settling in California. Her purpose in life is to impact people powerfully and positively. Her personal mantra is “anything is possible!” which was formed after experiencing the last white president of South Africa, FW de Klerk, start to negotiate with Nelson Mandela while he was still in prison to abolish apartheid in South Africa, unban the African National Congress (ANC), and introduce voting for all people age 18 and over, regardless of the color of their skin. This ultimately led to Mandela becoming the next president of South Africa in 1994. After witnessing this unimaginable change first-hand, Shelley’s view that anything is possible permeates her optimistic outlook.

Shelley is a certified Co-Active® coach and has a passion for helping people identify what is important to them and guiding them in pursuit of their goals. She is also a certified Gallup Strengths coach and loves helping people focus on their strengths, which she prefers to call their superpowers, with intention. Shelley works in Palo Alto Networks’ Product group and enables individuals and teams to achieve their goals and strive to be their best. She leads workshops on various topics, with central themes of empowerment, authenticity, inspiration, and defining personal success. She designs, implements, and helps companies sustain large-scale organizational change efforts. She has over 25 years of consulting experience working with clients in South Africa, Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, India, Europe, and the United States.

Shelley recognized how critical clean water was as a teenager after seeing a young child die from drinking dirty river water. She is 100% committed to getting people access to clean water as a result of this experience. She has raised over $30,000 for the Waterbearers over four annual campaigns and has traveled with the Waterbearers every year since 2016, distributing clean water systems to communities in need. Her two teenage daughters, Kylie and Morgan, have joined her on two of these trips and are involved in the Waterbearers fundraising and awareness efforts. Shelley represented the Waterbearers at the California Women’s Conference in 2017. She is excited to be on the board and continue to make an impact through service.
